The musical journey of Eric Moeller began at a very early age. Inspired by the death of a family friend, Eric wrote the lyrics to his first song at the age of ten. Ever since then, he has never stopped, and has matured into a talented and inspiring writer and performer.

Over the course of the past several years he has composed music and played as part of several bands in different veins of punk rock n roll. Beginning in 2001 until 2003, Eric performed as the guitarist in his first band, Skatter. Based out of Edwardsville, IL, Skatter had a punk rock sound similar to that of the Bouncing Souls. The band never really developed into much and was forced to split up when Eric left Illinois and moved to Flagstaff, AZ. Here he became the lead guitarist for a street punk band known as (regrettably) Back Alley Abortion. Back Alley had a sound that brought the straightforward punk rock sounds of bands like the Virus and the Unseen with the ska sounds of the likes of Leftover Crack. Moving out of that band in 2005, he became dormant for a period before deciding to do something a little different: a solo album.

After performing several shows with his 'solo' lineup, he entered the studio in May of 2006 to produce a five track E.P. entitled 'Those Nights'. Eric provided all of the instrumentation and vocal work with the exception of the drums, which were provided by his good friend Pauly Burns. After playing more shows around Flagstaff for a few more months, the decision was made to begin touring. Throughout 2007 Eric performed many dates all over America, not only solo, but also as part of a band from Lake Havasu City, AZ, called the Resident Saints. As part of the Resident Saints, a working-class street rock band, he was privileged to share the stage with bands like the Glass Heroes, Duane Peter's Gunfight, and Gary Lammin. After only four months, Eric decided to break away and focus strictly on his solo works once again. Now, Eric is living in Augusta, Missouri and working hard.

Eric has recently added a band to his live show once again. They are known as Eric Moeller and the Strummalongs and are currently playing shows around the St. Louis area and hitting the road when possible. They are performing songs that he performed alone as well as some new material. This full band sound is a combination of Bruce Springsteen, the Clash, and current punk acts such as the Bouncing Souls and the Dropkick Murphys. The current line-up features Eric on lead vocals and guitar, Joey Belsher on bass, Jayk Brown on guitar, and Lyndsey Rawley on drums.

A new recording has been completed as well. The new full length record is titled 'Daily Life' and is due for release July 2010. It features 11 full band tracks as well as 2 solo tracks. The full band songs feature Joey Kotsybar on drums, Eric performing the lead vocal and the rest of the instrumentation, and Bruce Moeller, Nick Falcone, Brian Gunderson and Trey Garrison performing some backing vocals.

Well, folks, keep your eyes peeled and your ears open. Eric Moeller will surely be heading to your favorite local venue, and putting his music out into the world.
